Post Updates - 21 APRIL 2020
Hi Everyone,
Just an update on what's happening with our Post during the corona virus pandemic. As you probably know,
our regular monthly meetings have been discontinued until restrictions are lifted. We are working with
the town VSO to have a Memorial Day service on the common, although it may not happen on Memorial Day. We have to wait and see. Our post will provide the rifle squad and Dale Kurtz is hoping to find a bugler.
Our Post recently gave a $100 donation to the Franklin Food Pantry. Juan De Valle and Jim Gurganus recently picked up and delivered many food packages provided by FOOD4VETS at Gillette Stadium. Many thanks to Juan and Jim for doing this.
Last monthly the officers did an outreach phone call to all members which was well received and very successful.
We plan on doing this again probably in May.
We want to remind our members to stay safe and wear gloves and face masks if you need to go out into public areas. Elderly men are at the greatest risk. I seldom think of myself as 'elderly', but I am going to be 75 yrs old
soon so I guess I really am. I'm sure there are many other members in this category so please be safe.
Chaplain Bob continues to provide us with uplifting spiritual messages. I've been passing these along from Bob,
but this week I'm going to create a mailing list for him so that he can directly email his messages and prayers.
Stay safe and God Bless,
John Hefele, 2nd Vice Commander Post 75
