OLD BUSINESS
1. The Road Race was
held on June 23rd at 8:00 AM.
Thank you to all those who
volunteered this year!
2. Bob Markunis
continues to book visits at Magnolia Heights, Atria and the Franklin
Rehabilitation Center on Chestnut Street.
Magnolia Heights visits are every 3rd Wednesday at 2:00 and
Franklin Rehab visits are every third Saturday of the month at 2:00. The next visit at Magnolia Heights will be on
July 18th at 2:00 which will be a movie viewing. The next visit at Franklin Rehab. on Chestnut
Street will be on Saturday, July 21st at 2:00.
Volunteers will assist with Bingo.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Bills and
communications included thank you notes from the Boys State participants and a
thank you note from scholarship recipient, John Coughlin.
2. A vote was held and
unanimously approved to accept Dick Hynes as interim 1st Vice.

4. John Hefele is on the
committee for the Veterans Walkway on the town common. Bricks will be for sale until they are sold
out. Over 650 bricks sold so far. The
committee was hoping to sell at least 400 bricks. The bricks will display the
honorees name and branch of service. The
honoree can be someone living or deceased.
The names will be laser engraved with the information. The price is $100 per brick. Applications can be found online on the post
website or the VFW website. Local
businesses are assisting with the cost of the project by donating funds. The committee is hoping to dedicate the
Walkway on Veterans Day.
5. Raffle - Need
donations for the raffle. A TV has
already been donated. Also some Red Sox
memorabilia has been donated to the raffle by the Boston Red Sox. The town permit for the raffle has been
completed. The raffle will be held in
October.
6. Matt McGrath has set
up another Brockton VA visit. It will be
on July 31st at 6:15. Same as
previous location - Building 4.
7. Save the Date -
Wreaths Across America in Bourne will be held on Saturday, December 15th. A group of volunteers from the post are
needed to attend.
8. Reminder to members that
Post 75 has a display at the Franklin Historical Museum which is open most
Saturday mornings.
9. Members please
remember that Bob Markunis takes prayer requests for the sick.
10. If you know of any
potential members, please direct them to the post website for membership
information and an application.
